After multiple Sally Hepworth books that had me so emotionally invested, this one just fell flat for me. The characters were in some ways caricature like but I am not sure if it is because they were extreme depictions of the traits or rather that they were so one dimensional and surface level in most aspects. This one also felt very straight forward and just boring at times.
Not her best work but I read it quick and didn’t hate it.
