This wasn’t terrible but it also wasn’t good. It was similar to a Frieda McFadden book where for the most part I didn’t want to put it down because I thought a reveal would be coming again any second. However, I am not sure there was ever actually a twist or reveal that was good. I feel like starting in fourth grade your english teachers start telling you to “show don’t tell” but this was book was all just the author telling us everything. Because the book lacked the rewarding twists/reveals, it made it harder to suspend reality. The premise was absurd. It continued to get more absurd. Again, if we had to work for the twists I think we could all suspend reality for the fun but overall, the author just missed.
