This book was a somewhat slow read. The story revolves around Lara and Maggie, two second wives to the Farinelli family. It is told with alternating POVs. I think besides the pacing, the “twists” were all predictable making this one not all that exciting.

I would definitely consider reading Kerry Fisher again because she had some one-liners that really had me chuckle and her characters were well developed.
