This was a very easy read. It is a fast-paced thriller that is a little different than the normal Freida McFadden. The theme of vengeance and revenge can be so satisfying and Freida did not miss. I binged this in 24 hours.

I really liked the main character Debbie. Some of Debbie’s missteps are really confusing considering how cunning and patient she is overall with everything she does.

This book does address rape. I felt like it was covered in an appropriate and sensitive manner. The weight of the topic is felt as it is a key component of the plot, however, the overall tone of the book is not overly affected by this.

Overall, this one earns 4 stars.
