This book had the potential to be a 5 star book but very much was a 3.5. The book was a quick read and while the ending most certainly fizzled out, it was still a fast and easy read. The “when I kill you” ending to the journal entries was hilariously lame and bad but it is what it is and that was such a small component of the overall book.

I 100% enjoyed the Elle chapters more than the Nell ones. Her backstory was quite interesting but the current Nell chapters seemed to drag. There wasn’t enough character development throughout to make me invest emotionally in Nell.
