This book was such a fun, fast-paced adventure. If I wrote this review within 10 minutes of finishing I probably would have made it 4 stars. The more I think about it though, the more I remember all the times I rolled my eyes or said “that makes no sense”. The other moms definitely hate the main character for valid reasons. The main character was a caricature at times with her messy and selfish decision makings.

I am a big fan of amateur detective/”I have to investigate for myself” plot lines and this fit the bill. The main character and her new mom friend were very enjoyable to follow as they tried to uncover the mystery of the missing student in their sons’ class. Lots of the plot was predictable but there was enough to keep me guessing.

As long as you go into this treating it as a silly, not so serious thriller, this is a solid 3.5 read. It is fast paced, turn your brain off a bit, quick and fun read.
